Surfing SUP is a fascinating sport. The mix of healthy full-body workout and silent, elegant glide equals action and relaxation. No wonder more and more people start with Stand Up Paddeling. For SUP you do not need an ocean on your doorstep. First Stehversuche and SUP tours can also be done in local inland waters. However, this is limited to the warm summer months. The SUP surfing in waves only goes by the sea.
Fuerteventura offers excellent conditions to start SUP surfing. Our house beach in Morro Jable is wind and wave protected. Here we organize our SUP courses for beginners.
To the SUP course we meet in our surf school office, which is only 150m away from the beach. Skill level and body size, everyone gets the right SUP board, paddle and wetsuit. Then it goes together with the SUP teacher to the beach.
Our SUP instructors are certified and have a Beach Lifeguard education.
At the beach of Morro Jable we explain you our SUP area, there is a detailed material briefing and important rules of conduct for safety in the water.
After that, our SUP teacher will practice with you paddling and standing technique ashore.
Now it goes into the water. Our SUP instructor is in the water with you, explaining and improving your paddling technique and the correct position on the board.
Since there are never more than four students per SUP teacher in our SUP groups, our SUP teacher can tailor your skills to your individual needs. This leaves enough time for questions and theoretical explanations of currents, wind and waves.
For advanced SUP surfers we offer SUP courses in waves. For this we drive in small groups (with a maximum of 4 SUP students) to different beaches in the south of Fuerteventura. We search the beach every day for the best waves for the SUP surf level of our SUP students.
