Hello surfers,
how does the catering in the surf camp in Fuerteventura work?
Are there restaurants? If so, what is the price of lunch and / or dinner? Can you cook yourself? Are there cheap supermarkets? Are meals organized by the surf camp?
For most people, food preferences are just as different as music preferences.
Food, Groceries and Meals in Morro Jable
There is a small kitchen in all apartments in Morro Jable.
Morro Jable has a large and a number of small supermarkets, many of which are also open on Sundays. There is a market hall selling fresh fish and an organic shop.
In the village there are many restaurants and tapas bars to eat delicious and cheap, for example fresh fish. Main courses are available from € 10.
Most of our guests want to have dinner together in the evening. That is why we organize daily dinners in changing (cozy) restaurants in the village, for example joint tapas, pizza or paella meals. There are lists in our office in which our participants can register.
In addition, we organize a joint breakfast for our guests in the Spanish bar Kuatro70 in town. Breakfast is offered from Monday to Saturday and costs € 8 per person per day. You can also spontaneously book breakfast on site.
Meals in the surf villa in La Pared
The apartment, the studio and the bungalow in the surf villa in La Pared have their own small kitchen. The rustic outdoor kitchen of the Tierra bungalow is ideal for cooking and barbecuing together in the villa. There is even a wood-fired stone oven here.
There is a small supermarket in La Pared, which is also open on Sundays. There is also a goat farm within walking distance where homemade goat cheese and organically grown food are sold.
Tip: The Bahia La Pared fish restaurant is one of the most famous restaurants in Fuerteventura. The restaurant is located in the picturesque Bay of Bahia in La Pared. Here you can eat fresh fish and Canarian specialties every day at sunset.
My conclusion
There are many options for eating out in the surf camp in Fuerteventura. The groceries in the supermarket are about as expensive as ours in Central Europe. The food in the restaurant is even cheaper. Fresh fish, tomatoes, goat cheese are a culinary must on a surfing holiday in Fuerteventura.
Those who want to cater for themselves can do this as well as take part in the organized meals with the other surfers.
Bon appetit and Aloha :)
