The calendar beginning of summer is now almost a week old and so for many the question finally arises: "Can you go to a surf camp in Fuerteventura this summer?"
The short answer in advance: "Yes!"
Summer has also started here in Fuerteventura, but you don't necessarily notice this in rising temperatures. On Fuerteventura it is warm in summer all year round and there were days in March and April that can be described as absolutely midsummer without exaggeration.
The summer messengers here on our favorite island are rather consistently good news. Similar to mainland Europe, the vaccination rates are also high here in the Canaries, which is why many of the regulations on distance and hygiene have been relaxed.
Life here has felt almost "normal" again for a long time. A feeling that still makes me smile blissfully after all the past weeks of uncertainty (when it will finally get better).
The water is warm, we have nice guests and our surf courses are on
Just as the ratio of negative and positive news has turned in favor of good news since the beginning of May, we are also receiving more inquiries for our surf courses and accommodations here in Fuerteventura.
On the whole, nothing has changed in the implementation of the surf courses. Water, sun and wind are the best natural disinfectants. In the car on the way to the beach it is compulsory to wear a mask, on the beach and in the water we can move as freely as always :)
We had nice guests in our villa in La Pared and in our surf courses all autumn and winter, but now we have guests in our apartments in Morro Jable again.

Morro Jable is a Spanish, very family-friendly fishing village right by the sea. Everything you need is within walking distance and the turquoise Atlantic is only a few steps away from all accommodations.
The place is traffic-calmed and you can stroll through the small pedestrian zone directly to the beach. In addition to shops, grocery stores and restaurants, the village also has an organic shop and a market hall with fresh fish and vegetables.
Our apartments are only 200 meters from the sea, the beach promenade and the small shops, a little higher above the village.
From the many small balconies of the apartments and the roof terrace of our hostel (30m away) you have a beautiful sea view. Here you can relax in the sun with the other surf students or let the day end.
Conclusion
In July 2021 you can lie in the sun in Fuerteventura, swim in the warm blue sea, meet nice people and of course learn to surf or surf with us.
Thanks to the progress in vaccination and the steadily decreasing number of infected people, the measures for hygiene and distance can be steadily reduced and vacation on Fuertentura feels as good as it used to be :)
