Hello surf kids and surf families,
I often answer the question when it is too old to learn to surf. I cannot give the answer to that and it varies from person to person. Even at the age of over 70, my father-in-law didn't feel too old for his first attempts on the surfboard.
Following the logic of this, a second question remains open:
Until when are you too young to surf? Individually and with your own parent you can of course start attempts on the surfboard from the first years of life, for example in shallow water directly on the beach.
We offer children's surfing courses for children from 7 years
Although physical development varies from child to child, we have decided on a minimum age and offer courses for children from 7 years of age.
For children younger than 7 years, we recommend a trial day and that the children take part in the course accompanied by their parents.
The children do not necessarily have to be able to swim for the surf course, because we only stay up in shallow and shallow water during the children's surf course. There we let broken waves, also called foam waves or white water waves, carry us to the beach.
Basically, the children should have fun in the water and enjoy splashing around and romping around. But which child doesn't have that ?! :)
For our surf courses for children, we have surfboards with soft foam covers so that it doesn't hurt if you hit the surfboard or fall on the board. We also have wetsuits specially designed for children with long arms and legs. These suits keep you warm and also offer protection from the sun.
For children under 10 years of age, an extra surf instructor assistant comes to the beach :)
And of course we don't go to beaches with too big waves.
Especially during the school holidays we often have families in our surf courses
So it is quite likely that surfing families will get to know other nice families here.
That's why we often do pure family surf courses. We also offer special accommodations for families, for example our surf villa with pool in La Pared or our family holiday home in Morro Jable.
Often, friendships have already developed between the children or young people as well as between the parents, which still exist today.
Since the wishes for the surf course and the accommodation are very different from family to family, especially due to the age of the children, we are happy to advise you individually via email or on the phone.

Conclusion
We offer surf courses especially for children and / or families all year round. We have special, safe and child-friendly surf equipment and do not go to beaches with big waves. We stay in shallow, shallow water and for children under 10 years of age, an extra surf instructor assistant comes to the beach.
