The best beach on Fuerteventura to surf

Which is Fuerteventura's best beach for surfing? In this blog article we try to find the "world formula" for the best surf spot on Fuerteventura. Not so easy.

Aloha Fuerteventura Surfer!
Where should I go to surf on Fuerteventura? Or else - which is the best surf beach on the island?
Unfortunately, there are no easy answers to this question. Similar to the mysterious world formula that is supposed to unite all the laws of physics, is the search for the surfing beach which always provides for all waves and wind conditions for every type of surfer.

Can there be that? Maybe yes ... but I have not found this beach yet. Because as different as the changing waves and winds are reaching our island, so different are the tastes of surfers. One surfer wants gentle and circular waves for his Malibu the other likes steep and fast waves for his pro shortboard.

Every city has restaurants serving kebab, pizza and Chinese food. Hand on heart: Who has ever gone to such a restaurant?
I do not, because I think involuntarily that food can not be good, because for each of the flavors there are quasi specialists therefore I prefer pizza at the Italian;)

But now back to the actual question: Which is the best beach for surfing on Fuerteventura?

1.

Unfortunately, there is not the best beach.
But there are beaches that often have surfable waves and therefore always worth a visit, for example Cotillo in the north of Fuerteventura or La Pared in the south of Fuerteventura.
These two beaches are arguably Fuerteventura's best-known surfing beaches, and they are certainly among the best surfing beaches.

2.

Of course, there are a few insider tips: For example, the beach where a shipwreck lay until 10 years ago. Hence the many names for this beach: Shipwreck Beach, Shipwreck, American Star. Actually, the beach is called Playa Garcey. The wind is here almost always weaker in the summer and not seldom offshore therefore this beach is certainly one of the best surfing beaches of Fuerteventura.

3.

Some of the best surfing beaches are in places you do not necessarily have on the surfing map. On the east coast and south coast, with the right wave and wind conditions, there are very good surfing waves for beginners and advanced surfers.
Esquinzo in the southeast in small pointbreak over sand which makes small clean left-hand waves for Malibus and Longboards from the strong trade winds in summer.
Jandia in the very south of Fuerteventura also offers small Passat wind waves on many days of the year. In addition, strong westwells can form waves that can reach the class of world-class pointbreaks like Kirra or Snapper in Australia without any exaggeration

My conclusion

As already described, there is not the best beach, but there are a few beaches on the west coast such as La Pared, where almost always waves break and are therefore always worth a visit.
There are insider tips like Shipreck Beach on the west coast.
But above all, there are many small beaches that can have incredibly good waves with the right weather constellations.
Each of these beaches is Fuerteventura's best surf beach on certain days of the year.
