The graded traffic light system of the Corona restrictions in the Canary Islands briefly explained.

There are three corona warning levels in the Canary Islands
Compared to Central Europe, the numbers of newly infected people in the Canary Islands are low

There are many different Corona regulations in Europe. Here we briefly explain the Canary Islands' warning level system.

Hello surfer,
The Corona Virus also exists here in Fuerteventura and the Canary Islands. However, the numbers of newly infected are significantly lower than in most areas in northern and central Europe. The good weather is probably responsible for this to a large extent, since it is almost always summer here, and life takes place outdoors to a large extent. In addition, Fuerteventura is not very densely populated and you almost never get into situations where many people are in one place. No wonder because Fuerteventura was also known in "normal" times for having kilometers of endless, and above all empty beaches.

Nevertheless, there is also a system of rules for distance and avoidance of crowds here in the Canary Islands, which should counteract the spread of the Corona Virus. In contrast to many countries in Europe, this system also allows restaurants, shops and schools to be open - albeit with restrictions. These restrictions increase as the number of new infections increases.

The Corona level system in the Canary Islands has three levels
I would like to briefly explain this system of Corona traffic light levels in the Canaries today.

Corona warning level 1 (green)

In the Canary Islands with the green Corona traffic light, there is a curfew from 00:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m.
A maximum of 10 people may be together when meeting friends and family as well as in restaurants, bars and cafes. In restaurants, a maximum of 10 people can sit at the table outside, inside a maximum of 6 people or a maximum of 4 at the counter.

Corona warning level 2 (yellow)

On islands that have a yellow Corona warning light, there is a curfew from 11:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
In private or public gatherings with friends, acquaintances, family, etc., a maximum of 6 people may meet. In the outdoor area of restaurants, cafes and bars, a maximum of 6 people can sit at the same table. Inside, only a maximum of 4 people are allowed to sit at the same table.
In addition, only a maximum of 50% of the normal number of guests is allowed inside the catering area and a maximum of 75% of the normal number of guests in the outside area.

Corona warning level 3 (red)

If a Canary Island is in Corona warning level 3 (red), restrictions apply to entry and exit. These apply above all to residents of the neighboring islands. As a resident of the Canary Islands, you can then only travel to or from this island if you give a valid reason (work, medical examination, etc.).
Tourists are still allowed to travel to these islands if they have a negative Corona test result.

There is also a nightly curfew, which starts at 10 p.m. and ends at 6 a.m. At
When meeting with family or friends, a maximum of 4 people can come together. The same number of people applies to the outside area of restaurants, bars and cafes. A maximum of 4 people can sit at the table here. No guests are allowed in the interior of the restaurant.

Conclusion

The number of people infected with the Corona Virus is still low in Fuerteventura compared to many other regions in Europe. But also on Fuerteventura there are government measures for distance and hygiene.
The system of Corona traffic lights in the Canary Islands regulates, for example, how many people can meet and from when a night curfew applies.
These measures are regularly adjusted according to the number of new infections.
